Get ready for the Silver River Knap-In and Prehistoric Arts Festival, the most happening event of its kind in the southeast! Happening every third weekend of February, this is where you can step back in time and see the ancient art of Flint Knapping – that’s making cool stone tools like spear points and arrowheads, just like our ancestors did.
Craftspeople from all over the country gather here to show off their skills in not just stone tool making, but also pottery crafting, traditional bow and arrow making, hide tanning, shell carving, fire starting, and much more. And guess what? You can get hands-on with some awesome activities like archery, tomahawk, and spear throwing!
